Project SItes
In Kenya, the Accelerated Restoration Collaborative, ARC, works through strong local partnerships to restore forests and coastal ecosystems in practical, measurable ways. By collaborating with Guardians of Nature and People and the Kenya Forest Service, ARC helps design and implement projects that improve landscapes while creating real benefits for nearby communities.
Restoring land in Kenya requires more than planting trees. It means working closely with local associations, aligning with national forest guidelines, and making sure projects are built to last. This partnership brings together local experience, government oversight, and clear project management. Each group plays a distinct role, helping ensure that restoration efforts are well planned, responsibly managed, and positioned to deliver lasting environmental and economic outcomes.
This means integrating community associations, youth groups, and women led enterprises directly into restoration supply chains and livelihood models. Projects which are designed to simultaneously rebuild ecosystems through forest restoration and generate stable income streams through active stewardship, employment, and livelihood development.
The Kenya program represents a scalable model. It combines experienced national implementation capacity through GNP, regulatory strength through KFS, and international capital and measurement discipline through ARC. The result is a platform capable of delivering high integrity restoration outcomes while strengthening local institutions and building long term environmental resilience.
